At Humayun's Tomb

This is us at Humayun's Tomb on our first day out exploring Delhi. This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal.

Humayun's Tomb - The place of ending at the beginning of the journey.

Very nice photographs on Flickr, especially the one of Cindy through the lattice. The architecture looks stunning. Who's that attractive couple in front of the tomb?

Just wanting to make sure you knew which Michelle I am. Kennys wife Michelle. I was a little confused by your last comment, and I figured you thought I was someone different. Not real sure what I had to do with your trip...

Great pictures, I saw the rest of Flickr.

Vinnie,
We eat the food too fast to photograph it. Plus, we eat curry with our fingers so it gets a bit messy!

Chuck,
Thanks for being so alert to each posting. I only just put up the Flickr pictures and you were there within minutes. Humayun's Tomb was magnificent. There are so many beginnings and endings on this journey as represented by Brahma and Shiva, Gods of Creation and Destruction. This site is ongoing and thus dedicated to Vishnu.

Michelle,
Sorry about that! We were thinking that you were the Michelle who introduced us twelve years ago. Thank you for you comments. We are so happy to have you along following our trip also. Keep in touch!
